Call for Industry Abstracts

We invite industry abstract contributions in the following two sub-categories.

Industry Submissions

Industry experiences or practice profiles can be submitted by means of no more than a two page abstract (IEEE Letter-size two-column format) plus a short biography of each author’s background and their interest in this field.
Other than the abstract, authors are also invited to submit a poster that will be presented at the conference. In selected cases authors of submissions may be invited to give an oral presentation at an industrial experience session of the conference.

Papers should be submitted electronically via EasyChair by May 12, 2014 with participant notification by May 25, 2014. Camera ready copy will be expected by June 1, 2014.

Partnered Industry/Academic Submissions

In this option industry originated experiences or practice profiles can again be submitted by means of no more than a two page abstract (IEEE Letter-size two-column format) plus a short biography of each author’s background and their interest in this field.
Other than the abstract, authors are also invited to submit a poster that will be presented at the conference. In selected cases authors of submissions may be invited to give an oral presentation at an industrial experience session of the conference.

Industry submitters choosing the partnered option will be assigned an experienced academic member of the programme committee to work with, who will assist in polishing the draft submission, navigating the academic publishing process and will advise on the tailoring of the poster content to suit the conference audience.

***Note: to assist the Poster & Panel Chairs submitters are requested to clearly indicate in their submitted abstract section within Easychair their chosen option, noting in brackets [Partnered Industry/Academic Submission] ***

Papers should be submitted electronically via EasyChair by May 12, 2014 with participant notification by May 25, 2014. Camera ready copy will be expected by June 1, 2014.

Publication

Authors of accepted presentations should note that these will be published in a second volume of the conference proceedings that will be distributed to participants, and subsequently made available in the IEEE digital library; a “permission to publish” form will need to be signed by the authors or their organizations.

Authors may also choose not to publish their work with an explicit note to Tony Clear and Bedir Tekinerdogan.
